November-6

Devops:

• New blocker found with  GitHub MacOS-12 runner. The builds are not generating as expected. Known issue #8730. As per the ticket it will be resolved this week. If not we have to check for alternatives (use local runners). Tracking issue #15338
• All other CI jobs are working fine.

Jordan- bounty is to bring in new members, there's already a mechanism for members already contributing

Nov 30, 2023 - Updates from meeting with LF Connectivity

1. LF Connectivity wants to do a press-release once Magma is moved on board
2. There is a new project that also in process - (ISP Toolbox )
3. Ideally both will be on board before end of 2023 and the PR will happen in January, 2023
4. Heard from LF legal that in order for this to happen we need to hold a vote at Magma TSC
   1. Som is working with LF legal for proper wording and will share with TSC - hopefully this wee
5. Magma vision for 2024 needs to be aligned with LFC vision
   1. Jordan V will work with LFC as liasion and will participate in LFC foundation recruitement drive in 2024H1

  I proposed that the unscheduled Magma TownHall be converted to a Webinar format and be held in Jan after the LFC press release. 

1. It will be a 'Magma under LFC' theme - using the material currently under discussion for the townhall
2. There will be other LFC updates. However, Magma will be main focus
3. This will hopefully draw a bigger audience (last townhall had only 20 odd registration)
4. Sandra Jackson to check into key difference between webinar and zoom town hall.
5. Vote on slack - propose to move the town hall to a webinar in January under LFC.

Oct 2 update: (Som)

• Proposal has been provided by LF legal
• LF Connectivity is reviewing on Oct 11
• Target is to complete legal requirements completed for the Oct 26 townhall to be a LFC event
• Adding agenda item for LFC 

Action items:
NOV 13

• The technical issue has been adequately explained. And we have assurance from LF IT that this will not be a problem for the rescheduled event
• We had a discussion in last week's Outreach meeting. It will be difficult to get the message out considering it is the Thanksgiving holiday next week
• My recommendation is to do this around December 10th
• Additionally, what does the TSC think about doing a Webinar format event INSTEAD of townhall? 
  We have several very good presentations.

NOV 6:

Need to discuss dates. We have moved the reschedule date to Nov 9th. However, I do not think we are ready for doing the townhall this week.
We have a good agenda and interesting content. Need to discuss.

What happened with zoom within Bevy -high priority - Sandra worked with LFIT and provided explanations and how to move forward via slack message to TSC on 11/9/2023

OCT 30

• Unfortunately, the town hall needs to be rescheduled. As reported from LF, this is a very unusal error and it happened due to issues with how the zoom meeting was scheduled on their event platform (Bevy).
• More updates expected when Sandra Jackson is back
• The proposed reschedule date is Nov 9th 7AM Pacific. Need TSC approval for this date. 
• Hold off on rescheduling town hall until root cause is identified and remedied.

2. Feedback from Lucas Gonze - we need to start thinking about a working group, hopefully with new participants - who can offer ideas on the starter kit documentation. Existing contributors are maxed out and it will be useful to get feedback fom actual deployers.
